Join us in exploring the mysterious corners of one of the most beautiful countries in the Arab world – Saudi Arabia. Tucked away in the Tabuk region of northwestern Saudi Arabia, Al Disah Valley is one of the most photogenic yet least explored destinations in the Middle East. Carved through the sandstone mountains of the Sarawat range, this dramatic valley offers breathtaking landscapes—from towering rock walls and narrow canyons to lush palm groves and crystal-clear springs.
The name “Disah” means “shade” or “shadow” in Arabic, perfectly capturing the tranquil atmosphere of this serene paradise, surrounded by massive rock formations that resemble something straight out of a movie set. During the golden hours of early morning and late afternoon, the valley comes alive with soft light, long shadows, and rich earthy tones—ideal conditions for capturing stunning landscape photographs.
Beyond its striking geological features, Al Disah also offers a unique glimpse into traditional Bedouin culture, with encounters ranging from free-roaming camels to authentic local farms that enhance the experience of being far off the beaten path. Thanks to its remote location and pristine natural beauty, Al Disah Valley is a dream destination for photographers seeking untouched, otherworldly scenery. Until recently, Saudi Arabia remained an undiscovered destination for photographers. Now, however, you have the chance to explore it under the guidance of two professional photographers and instructors, along with local guides who know the region intimately.
Why are we visiting this region specifically in February? Because during this month, the temperatures in Saudi Arabia are very pleasant (around 20 degrees Celsius). This allows us to spend more time outdoors exploring and photographing stunning locations. Additionally, this time of year increases the chances of experiencing interesting lighting conditions. Is this photo tour suitable for everyone? Absolutely! You don’t need any hiking skills, as we’ll have vehicles that will take us directly to the photography locations. So you can fully enjoy the experience without having to carry heavy photo equipment on your back for hours.
We will personally help you capture the best possible images during our photography tour. Two experienced lecturers who know the photographed places very well will be at your disposal the whole time. You’ll be also accompanied the entire time by a local guide who knows the area very well. You can therefore be sure that you will always be in the right place at the right time. In addition, tour leaders will be at your disposal 24/7 during the entire expedition. They will pass on their valuable knowledge, thanks to which they are internationally recognized on the photography scene.
TOUR ITINERARY
DAY 1
(February 6.)
On the first day of our photo tour, we’ll pick you and the other participants up at the airport in Tabuk. From there, we’ll head by cars to our accommodation, located right in the heart of the Al Disah Valley. We’ll be staying in apartments next to a local fruit farm, so we’ll have fresh breakfasts available every day—already included in the tour price. Upon arrival at the accommodation, we’ll take some time to get to know each other better and go over the plan for the days ahead.

DAYS 2 - 3
(February 7. - 8.)
During the first two days, we’ll focus on the northern part of the Al Disah Valley, where we’ll find stunning sharp rock peaks surrounded by fascinating sand formations. We’ll start shooting early in the morning to capture the first rays of sunlight breaking through the red rocks. For sunset, we’ll head to a similar area and try to find small accessible caves, from which we’ll photograph the valley bathed in the evening light.
We will spend third day exploring interesting new locations in the area of the camel farm, which is located on the northern side of the Al Disah valley. Here, we will once again find very fascinating rock formations that look completely like they’re from another world.

DAYS 4-5
(February 9. - 10.)
During the fourth and fifth day of our photo tour, we will head to the southern part of the Al Disah valley, where we will photograph the most massive mountains in the entire area.
We'll take you to a small hidden valley known only to the locals. It’s special for its great potential to discover truly interesting compositions. When this valley is bathed in the light of the morning golden hour, it becomes truly stunning and photogenic under any conditions. If the weather allows, we’ll also try night sky photography at this location, with sharp rock formations in the foreground.
On the fifth day, our local guide will take us to more secret spots that regular tourists and photographers don’t know about.

DAYS 6-7
(February 11. -12.)
On the sixth day, we will head into a nearby deep canyon that once again feels like it’s from another world. The canyon stretches up to 7 kilometers in length and is traversed by a small stream, which brings life to its core—tall grasses, wild palms, and other vegetation make this place truly special. You’ll feel like a real explorer as you walk through its heart.
The canyon also breathes with history. On some of the rock walls, you’ll see ancient symbols carved thousands of years ago by Bedouins and shepherds. If we’re lucky, we might even meet some of them, as they still occasionally bring their small herds to graze in the canyon.
On the seventh day, we’ll spend our time in the sandy deserts on the far side of the Al Disah Valley. Here, you'll photograph beautiful sand dunes with sharp rock formations in the background. Deep in the desert, we’ll also discover a few hidden oases where camel herders still feed their animals to this day.
Since we’ve scheduled the photo tour for the end of January, you don’t need to worry about extreme heat. But if you do start to feel warm, we’ll always have air-conditioned vehicles nearby where you can cool off and take a break from the sun.
DAY 8
(February 13.)
On the final day, we’ll photograph the sunrise near the rock formations close to our accommodation. After breakfast, we’ll pack up and head back to Tabuk, where we’ll prepare for our flight home.
