Join our Lofoten Photo Tour 2027 and photograph one of the most spectacular winter landscapes in Europe. This guided photography workshop takes you to the dramatic fjords of the Lofoten Islands in Norway — a place known for snow-covered mountains rising straight from the sea, traditional fishing villages, white-sand beaches and excellent chances to photograph the Northern Lights.
During our Lofoten photo tour, we will focus on the best conditions for photographing aurora borealis, winter landscapes, seascapes, sunrises and sunsets. February is one of the best months to visit Lofoten for photography: the mountains are usually covered in fresh snow, the light is beautifully soft, and the long Arctic twilight creates ideal conditions for dramatic images.
You will be guided by two experienced landscape photographers who know the Lofoten Islands very well. In addition to the most iconic photo locations, we will also take you to quieter spots and alternative viewpoints discovered during our previous visits. Throughout the workshop, we will help you with composition, camera settings and field decisions so that you can return home with both a memorable experience and a strong portfolio of images from Lofoten.

LOFOTEN PHOTO TOUR 2027 ITINERARY
The following itinerary gives you an idea of how our Lofoten Photo Tour 2027 is planned. Since this is a landscape photography workshop, the exact daily schedule may change depending on weather, light, road conditions and aurora activity. Our priority is always to be in the best possible location at the best possible time — not to follow a rigid timetable.
Day 1–2 – Arrival in Northern Norway and Transfer to the Lofoten Islands
After your arrival in Northern Norway, we will pick you up at the airport and transfer to our first accommodation nearby, where you can rest after your journey and prepare for the start of the workshop.
The next morning, we will begin our drive to the Lofoten Islands. The transfer takes approximately four hours, but the route itself is already a beautiful introduction to the Arctic landscapes of northern Norway. Snow-covered mountains, fjords and coastal scenery make this part of the journey a memorable experience.
During the main part of our Lofoten Photo Tour 2027, we will stay in traditional Norwegian cabins located in one of the fjords in the heart of the Lofoten Islands. After arrival, we will settle in, enjoy a welcome evening and go through the plan for the coming days. If the weather and aurora forecast allow, we may already head out for our first Northern Lights photography session near the accommodation.
DAY 3 – Hamnøy, Sakrisøy and Iconic Fishing Villages
We will begin the day at one of the most iconic photography locations in the Lofoten Islands — Hamnøy, known for its traditional red fishing cabins, dramatic fjord scenery and sharp winter mountains in the background. This classic Lofoten viewpoint offers many strong compositions, especially in beautiful morning light.
After lunch, we will continue toward Sakrisøy, where yellow cabins, coastal details and views toward Kirkefjord create a different but equally photogenic Nordic atmosphere. Depending on the weather and light, we may use the evening for sunset photography or head out after dark for a Northern Lights photography session during our Lofoten Photo Tour.
DAY 4 – Reine, Djupfjord and Skagsanden Beach
We will start the morning in the northern village of Reine, one of the most iconic photography locations in the Lofoten Islands. During sunrise and golden hour, this area offers classic Lofoten views with sharp mountains, fjords and traditional coastal scenery.
As the light changes, we will continue toward Djupfjord, where we can work with more intimate compositions, reflections and dramatic winter landscapes. After lunch in a local restaurant, there will be time to relax and edit photos from the first days of the workshop.
In the evening, we will head to Skagsanden Beach for sunset photography. If the sky is clear and the aurora forecast is promising, we may stay longer for another Northern Lights photography session during our Lofoten Photo Tour.
DAY 5 – Frozen Fjords, Ice Formations and Ramberg
We will begin the morning at another fascinating fjord in the Lofoten Islands, known for its shallow water that often freezes overnight during winter. These conditions can create beautiful ice patterns, foreground details and reflections of sharp mountain peaks in the background — perfect for more creative winter landscape photography.
After sunrise, we will drive a short distance to the photogenic Molneva waterfall, where moving water, snow and surrounding Arctic scenery offer a completely different type of composition.
In the evening, we will visit the village of Ramberg and the nearby coastal area, where we can photograph wide beaches, mountain views and atmospheric winter seascapes. If conditions are suitable, we may also continue shooting after dark during another Northern Lights photography session.
DAY 6–7 – Haukland, Vik and Uttakleiv Beaches
During the next two days, we will explore some of the most photogenic beaches in the Lofoten Islands, moving closer to the area around Leknes. Depending on the weather, light and tide conditions, we may visit Haukland Beach, Vik Beach and the famous Uttakleiv Beach — known for its unusual rock formations, coastal foregrounds, the “Dragon’s Eye” and dramatic mountains rising directly behind the shoreline.
These beaches offer excellent opportunities for wide-angle seascapes, long exposures, reflections, icy foregrounds and more intimate winter compositions. We will also visit local restaurants where you can taste traditional Norwegian specialties. If the skies are clear and the aurora forecast is promising, we may return to one of the beaches after dark for another Northern Lights photography session during our Lofoten Photo Tour.
DAY 8 – Fredvang Bridges, Telephoto Landscapes and Processing Lesson
In the morning, we will photograph several beautiful locations close to our accommodation in the Lofoten Islands. One of the highlights will be the fjord beyond the Fredvang bridges, which can become especially photogenic during golden hour, with soft winter light, reflections and dramatic mountain scenery.
During this session, we will also focus more on telephoto landscape photography, using longer focal lengths to isolate mountain details, layers, textures and distant peaks. This is a great opportunity to create different types of images beyond classic wide-angle Lofoten compositions.
After the morning shoot, we will spend time editing photos from the previous days of the workshop. You will also receive a recorded post-processing lesson with audio, so you can revisit the editing workflow later at home.
In the late afternoon, we will leave the Lofoten Islands and drive toward the airport area, where we will spend the final night of our Lofoten Photo Tour in an airport hotel. This allows everyone to comfortably prepare for the journey home the next day.

Filip Hrebenda is an award winning photographer focused on artistic landscape photography, especially mountain areas. His work is characterized by the sensitive use of colors found in nature. Using these colors, interesting light, and working with creative composition, he try to convey the atmosphere of the photographed locations to the viewer as best as possible. This is exactly the ability that he want to pass on to every participant of a workshop or expedition.

Isabella Tabacchi is an award winning full-time landscape photographer and influencer, traveling the World to immortalize nature and leading photo tours in all over the World. In 2017, Isabella hot full-time and started to lead workshops and photo tours in the Dolomites and then in other places in the World. In those years, Isabella started traveling around the World to find different sources of inspiration and evolve her style.
